A Delicious Treat

Recently my roommate and I have been trying new recipes that we find on sites like Pinterest and making time each week to cook something new!

This week we made Nutella Banana French Toast for breakfast, which turned out to be extra delicious and easy to make!

The best part about this recipe is that you can make these with or without banana and you can substitute another fruit, like strawberries, in if you choose!

Ingredients:
  • White bread
  • Nutella
  • Bananas
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon of milk
  • Butter
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
The first step to making this tasty treat is to cut the crust off of the white bread. We usually make two per person, so you would cut the crust off of 4 pieces of bread.

Next, you want to cover each slice of bread with the Nutella!

Then you will cut the banana in half and place a piece on each slice of bread.

Once you do that, you will roll up the piece of bread with the banana in it. It is easier to roll it up when the banana is placed on one of the edges.

The next step is to whisk together 1 egg and 1 tablespoon of milk.

Then you will prepare your skillet by melting some butter. I just eyeball the amount that I think is best to cover the entire pan.

Once that is done, you will take each of the rolled up slices and dip them into the egg and milk mixture. Make sure to cover all sides of the bread, but don't let it linger in the mixture or it will get soggy.

Then place each roll up slice onto the skillet and turn every minute or so until it browns.

Once they are done, roll them in a mixture of 2 tablespoons of sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon

And Voila! Time to enjoy :)
