7-Step Facial Routine for Skin Perfection!

Breakouts bumming you out? Skin feeling dull and dry? No matter what your skin issue is, this 7-step facial routine is going to give you the complexion you've been coveting.

7- Step Facial
Here is my favorite seven-step facial routine I learned from Kate Somerville's book Complexion Perfection! With each of these steps, make sure you are tailoring the products to your own skincare needs.

1. Cleanse
2. Steam
3. Exfoliate
4. Extractions***
5. Treatment Mask
6. Hydrate & Moisturize
7. Eye Treatment

In my Pamper Evening Essentials post, I mentioned a "6-step routine" that I love. Well, obviously I always forget to do the last step....oops!! Hopefully my eyes will forgive me!

Read Kate's book to learn which ingredients are best for your skin type. Because my skin tends to dull, dry, and flaky, I've chosen products with hydrating and moisturizing ingredients.

Facial Favorites

1. Eve Lom Eye Cream. Sounds and feels absolutely luxurious.. and it actually works!
2. Mario Badescu Glycolic Foaming Cleanser. Gently removes dull, flaky skin for a brighter complexion.
3. Kiehl's Epidermal Re-texturizing Microdermabrasion. Scrub-a-dub! Works like a charm. Use this sparingly. For daily use I recommend ExfoliKate by Kate Somerville.
4. Lush Dream Steam. Amp up your steam session with this steamer tab that will soothe your skin.
5. GlamGlow ThirstyMud. The hydrating version of this beauty favorite.
6. Dr. Jart Water Max Sleeping Mask. One of my "Holy Grail" products. Don't go to bed without it!
7. Kate Somerville Quench Oil. Apply this before your moisturizer to lock in hydration.
8. Kate Somerville Goat Milk Cream. A gentle, nourishing moisturizer.
9. Perricone MD Neuropeptide Facial Cleanser. Anti-oxidants will put some life back into your skin and keep you looking forever young.
10. Perricone MD Blue Plasma. All the benefits of a peel without the redness!
11. Lush Oatifix Fresh Face Mask. One of my favorites from Lush. I also love Brazened Honey and Ayesha. They are super inexpensive, so you can buy a few and experiment!

*** Perform extractions with caution, using Kate's guidelines. Do not force it or you may leave scarring.
