My Favorites: Hair + Skin + Makeup

My friends know that I am a beauty enthusiast, a Sephora regular and have my esthetician's email readily on hand, so they often come to me with questions and advice on what products to buy.

There are some products that I have been using regularly or instantly fell in love with and swear by. I decided I would put together a list of my favorite products this week, from my favorite face mask to my favorite lipstick and, hopefully, help you find your next favorite product!

1. Lush: Marilyn Hair Treatment

I'm never opposed to a good olive oil/coconut oil treatment, but I love Marilyn by Lush! It's one of my favorite products because of it's dual action treatment: it adds hydration to your hair while also brightening your gorgeous blonde locks!

2. Drybar: Hot Toddy Heat Protector

I've tried other heat protectors, but Hot Toddy is my favorite! I prefer the creamy protectors like this one, as opposed to the sprays, that you apply while your hair is still wet. Hot Toddy is great because it smells amazing and doesn't leave your hair feeling greasy.

3. Lush: No Drought Dry Shampoo

I just purchased this dry shampoo and I already know that I will be purchasing it regularly. I used baby powder in the past because my hair is so light, but I never enjoyed the smell of it. No Drought smells like grapefruit and has the same texture as baby powder, so it's a win win for me! The only downfall is that you can probably only get away with using this if you are blonde.

4. Paul Mitchell: Platinum Blonde Purple Shampoo

Every blonde needs a good purple shampoo! Sometimes our hair has a brassy look to it, which is never cute but this shampoo instantly fixes that! When I apply this product I let it sit in my hair for a few minutes before washing it out, so that it can work at its full potential.

1. Origins: Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask

I grab this deep cleaning origins mask after a tough workout, a long flight or at the end of a very long day. I can feel the dirt being pulled up and out of my pores every time I use this mask, making it my favorite and go-to solution any time I feel a breakout coming on or a need for a deep clean.

2. RenĂ©e Rouleau: Anti-Cyst Treatment

Back when my birth control was starting to make my face break out, I was getting horrible cystic type breakouts. I tried virtually everything to make these go away, but because they are so below the surface and huge it takes time. It wasn't until I purchased this anti-cyst treatment that I found any relief. I don't get these breakouts often anymore, but when I do I am ready with this treatment.

3. Kiehl's: Epidermal Retexturizing Micro-Dermabrasion

I've been using my Micro-Derm exfoliator for years now and I still haven't found a product that I like better. Twice a week I use this in the shower and my face is instantly softer and smoother. It's also great if you are peeling from a sunburn and need to stop the flaking.

4. Glam Glow: Thirsty Mud Hydrating Treatment

I just got this hydrating mask when I was home over the weekend, but I love it already! It has a delicious coconut smell to it and the best part is that, because there are no active ingredients, you can leave it on for an hour if you'd like to really let it seep into your skin for ultimate hydration!

1. Make Up Forever: HD Invisible Cover Foundation

When I was in high school I was a MAC girl through and through, but I've been using Make Up Forever's foundation for a few years now and don't see myself going back to MAC anytime soon. It's lightweight, has amazing coverage and gives your skin a beautiful dewy glow.

2. Make Up Forever: HD Pressed Powder

My look is never complete until I've used a translucent powder. It takes away any oil or shine and helps your foundation last throughout the day. I used Laura Mercier for years, but now I find that it feels too heavy on my skin. I started using Make Up Forever's HD powder and then accidentally bought the pressed powder. Turns out it was a happy accident, because I am in love with it and carry it everywhere for quick touch-ups!

3. Urban Decay: All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray

I live in Phoenix, so a makeup setting spray is a must! The second I walk outside it feels like I am walking into an oven and my makeup starts to run, but with this setting spray I am covered. Even if you live in a normal weather climate, this product is great for everyday use. When you’re working long hours you don’t want to look haggard by the end of the day, so apply a few sprays and you’re makeup is sure to last.

4. MAC: Cremesheen Crosswires

I love lipstick and I have several different shades and brands, but  I use Cremesheen Crosswires the most. It's a beautiful light coral/orange color that is great for everyday usage and looks amazing on blondes! I can wear it to work, out for brunch and even at night.

My beauty routine isn't complete without these products, so I hope I've helped you stumble upon some great new beauty finds! Have specific questions about what works best for your hair color or skin type? Send us an email at!
