Moscow Mule Monday!

The Moscow Mule is definitely one of my favorite cocktails and it's no secret that they're having a comeback! 

This delicious and refreshing drink has, according to, been around since the 1940s when a vodka distributor and ginger beer maker joined forces to promote their otherwise unpopular beverages. 

Their discovery was lucky for us, because virtually every restaurant has a spin on the Moscow Mule now. I've even seen restaurants change the name to "Icelandic Mule" and "Tokyo Mule" to better fit the environment of the restaurant. It's easy to play around with different concoctions by adding another flavor to the mix. I recently had one with pineapple in it at The Cheesecake Factory and it was delicious!

The best thing about the Moscow Mule? It's simplicity! The recipe is super easy and only requires a few ingredients:

Moscow Mule Copper Mugs
Ginger Beer

In a glass with ice, you will combine 2 ounces of vodka, juice of half a lime and top it off with Ginger Beer. Garnish with a lime slice and serve in a copper mug!

And voila...
