Drybar's New Blonde Ale Brightening Shampoo | Is It Right For You?

Is your hair looking brassy and dull? Drybar's new Blonde Ale Brightening Shampoo and Conditioner may be right for you!

I've been a fan of Drybar and their products for several years now, so when I found out that they made a shampoo and conditioner, specifically for us blondies, I was thrilled! With little reviews of the new product, I decided to give the shampoo and conditioner a try and see for myself if it does what it says it will do.

This shampoo and conditioner duo counteract brassiness by brightening and adding shine, while gently cleansing and creating smoother, more manageable hair. Here's what I thought:

Brighten and Shine

Any blonde will agree with me that after a certain amount of weeks post hair salon visit, you will be itching to go back in for a touch up. Some blondes can go months without a salon visit and others can only go a few weeks, but with a purple shampoo you can extend this time.
It's been about 7 weeks since I've had my hair colored, which is normally right around the time I start to notice my roots growing in and start planning my next salon visit. With the help of the Blonde Ale shampoo and conditioner, my hair is feeling refreshed, healthy and free from brassiness.

My hair overall. The color is still going strong!
A birds eye view, to see more of the root.
The color is revitalized and has a nice shine!

Product Smell / Coloring

I thought it was important to talk about the smell, because purple shampoos do tend to give off more of a chemical odor. One of the great things about Drybar is their ability to make every.single.product smell A-M-A-Z-I-N-G, and I think they've done a great job of slightly masking the chemical smell of the shampoo and conditioner by adding some floral scents.

The color of the shampoo is the same as any typical purple shampoo and the conditioner is a lighter shade of purple, with some blue undertones. It would make a great nail color! I like that it matches the shampoo, but is slightly different.

It's safe to say that I am pleased with this brightening duo! Drybar thinks about every detail, from the design of the bottle to the product efficiency, and I think consumers appreciate that.
To buy online or in store, head to Drybar or Sephora!
