Making a Wish List, Checkin' it Twice!

Christmas is around the corner, y'all! This week, instead of the usual #WantItWednesday post you know and love, we're sharing our Christmas wish lists.
We've whittled our loves down to eight items each, but let's be real.... when it comes to shopping for ourselves, the limit does not exist.

Check out what we're currently coveting and shop it for your fashion and beauty loving friends yourself. 'Tis the season!

Holiday Season Adult Bevs, Right This Way!

Forget hot cocoa and cookies! We all know the star of any holiday party is a seasonally-appropriate adult beverage. Fire up Yule Log, summon a Postmate, and settle in with some of these holiday favorites!

Glögg is a Swedish alcoholic beverage that I always enjoy around Christmastime with my family.
Glögg is pronounced just like "glug," which is really convenient because now you can just yell glug, glug, glug over and over again while getting inappropriately wasted at your next family dinner.

There are a bazillion variations on this favorite, and in my non-scientific estimation, most will be good. Here's a great recipe to start with and you can tweak to fit your needs.

Shape House - Sweat It Out

Every now and then, we all need a little TLC. For the past several months, my go-to has been Shape House. If you follow me (@torystangl), you've probably seen my weekly snapchats at the Larchmont or Robertson location.

As someone who is always plugged in to some sort of device, Shape House has been my sanctuary to get away from life for 55 minutes a week. If you aren't familiar, Shape House is an urban sweat lodge with a few different locations in Los Angeles. It's designed to detox your body, boost weight loss, clear up your skin, help you sleep more soundly and decrease any stress you may have.

A Stupid Easy 7 Day Post-Thanksgiving Detox

Have a bit of bloat to lose after stuffing your face with stuffing (and sweet potatoes and rolls... and let's not even talk about the pie, okay)?

Sweater weather is amazing, but don't add those cozy layers to your list of reasons to wait until January 1st to get a kickstart on your health. A few days of over-indulgence does not have to mean an obligatory 5 pound* holiday season weight gain.

This detox is so easy you really can't mess it up. It takes just a few minutes to prep and then you can bring it along with you to drink throughout the day. Finally, a use for that $48 Swell bottle!!!

The best part? This isn't a cleanse. You will continue to exercise and eat normally, so you don't have to feel like a douche at work with some high-maintenance fasting schedule or turn down any date nights with your friends. Maybe cool it on the Thanksgiving leftovers, though? Just a suggestion. 😘

Where to Shop for Black Friday and Cyber Monday Deals

Avoid the mobs this Black Friday. With deals as plentiful as your carbohydrate intake on Thanksgiving, it can be super overwhelming to even decide which online shopping baskets to pre-load, so I've sorted through the crap to give you a hand-picked list of some of my fave places to shop 'til you drop.
The best part is you can keep your PJs on, reheat some stuffing, and shop these picks with the minimal brain power you have left after answering all Aunt Ethel's questions about your love life. Ugh, go away, Ethel.

(....OR you could stand in this crowd with the other Black Friday zombies and maybe lose a few toes in the stampede. It's really whatever floats your boat. No judgment.)

Pretty in Pale Pink: 10 Rose Quartz Picks

Did you get the memo? Pale pink is *in* for fall. (Thanks, Pantone, what would we do without you?) It's easy to OD on saccharine sweet, girly vibes with this color, so I've picked my favorite rose quartz pieces that have a bit of edge.
My favorite way to wear pale pink is to pair it with deeper, more traditionally Autumnal hues and pieces that have lots of visual interest (think: texture, prints, and architectural cuts).
Shop my favorites below and scroll for a few ways to wear!

4th of July Fun | Shop the Looks

I have a hard time staying in one place for too long, but this year I had a blast celebrating the 4th of July holiday with friends in LA. After living out here for a year, I finally feel like I have a solid social scene and am having fun exploring all over the city.

Check out my style inspo, from my Olive & June mani/pedi to my Nordstrom American flag swimsuit.

Delicious & Healthy Breakfast | Baked Eggs with Paprika

Over the past couple of years I've been making healthier choices when it comes to what I eat. I've lost anywhere from 10 to 15 pounds since graduating college two years ago and I credit the majority of that weight loss to a change in my diet. It helps that I no longer eat Dominos at two in the morning, after a night out in college, but I'm a big believer in starting the day with a solid breakfast!

Lauren and I were watching Runaway Bride on TV one night and that scene came on where Richard Gere goes on and on about what kind of eggs Julia Roberts likes. Essentially, his argument is that you don't know what you want out of life until you know what kind of eggs you like. I know the context of that scene was really about what kind of man/relationship she wants, but it made me realize that I'm at a place in my life where I'm completely comfortable in my skin, due to my diet and lifestyle choices.

Our Ten Favorite MAC Lipsticks | Swatches on Cool and Warm Undertones!

Have you been looking to expand your MAC lipstick collection? We swatched 10 of our favorites, so you don't have to!

We've both been MAC lovers since the dawn of time high school, so we've had plenty of time to hone our collection and pick up a few new faves along the way. At $17 a pop, it can be pricey to make a mistake on a shade that just does nothing for you.

As pale girls, it's not always a cake walk finding makeup shades that work for us. We learned the hard way that what looks good on one of us, does not necessarily flatter the other. Some of our shades are simply not swappable! Even though we're often mistaken for "fraternal twins," our skin tones are totally different!

For Lauren, who has distinct yellow undertones, finding a light enough nude shade that doesn't make her look dead is practically impossible. And orange-toned lipsticks can easily make T, who has pink undertones, look like a 90's trend gone wrong.

We're both drawn to brights, so you'll see a lot of pinks and oranges in our collection.

Re-thinking Basics | Why Stripes are a Staple in my Wardrobe

This year I've been trying to go through my closet to get rid of the pieces I haven't worn in forever, as a sort of spring cleaning project. My style inspo has definitely changed over the years, as I enter my mid-twenties!

Lately I've realized I've acquired quite a bit of striped pieces, that have become a staple in my wardrobe, so keep reading for some of my favorite J.Crew pieces and how I style them.
